Building on the success of the Hoop x Hang basketball tournaments at the SXSW Music Festival, the last two years, HardKnock.TV brought the idea home to LA as they celebrated their 7 year anniversary with a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. With generous contributions from NIKE Basketball, Hard Knock TV celebrated in style at the historic Nike Montalban in Hollywood, while raising awareness for NIKE+ Basketball.
All participants were outfitted with Nike Volt Hyperdunks, Shorts, Bags, Socks, T-shirts and Jerseys customized for the tournament. Footage was captured through mounted Go Pro cameras and roving Varicams. Beverages provided by Powerade.
The reigning Hoop x Hang champs, Team Hard Knock with DJ Hyphen, our very own Nick Huff and XXL’s Carl Chery, took to the court to protect their title, knowing that they were the team everyone was looking to beat. The tournament was a success and in the end, Team Nike left with the final “W” over TDE.
